Looking forward to seeing this Salton Sea documentary Bombay Beach, especially as a sidecar for William T. Vollmann’s Imperial. Southern California culture at its nadir.

Always good to see someone tout Vollman.
His magazine journalism is superb, though overwhelmed in the face of his ocean-sized book output.
Urge those unfamiliar to start with Rainbow Stories or Whores for Gloria. He’s long overdue for a full-bore biography.
