Those wacky creatives at Coudal Partners design have come up with a wonderful way for everyone who cares about good design to waste their Friday afternoons this fall. They call it “layer tennis.” They take a graphic and then two designers push it back and forth (with only 15 minutes) to up each others designs by adding to the graphic.
Today’s the match was between Aaron Draplin and David Nakamoto. The event was “announced” by some famous art doad/book writer named Steve Heller (he was the worst part of the match, honestly). But check out the frame by frame back and forth battle. Draplin obviously slayed it, but then we’re biased.
