Designer Aaron Draplin lives for the road and it’s documentation. He is currently on day 44 of what he is calling the 2007 DDC Spring Tour. In an email he sent this morning Aaron signed off with the words “getting lucky in Kentucky.”

I immediately thought of bourbon. Which is odd, because I don’t drink it, myself. But since he was there, and has been known to sip the occasional snifter, I sent him a link to the Bourbon Trail; a kind of wine-country tour of the great bourbon distillers of Kentucky. Well, he took the bait and toured the Jim Beam distillery. It’s kind of like having a remote control traveller out there doing all the things I’d like to do, only I don’t have to leave the computer.
