MTV has a new network called The N. And we’ve been checking it out lately. Mainly to watch Whistler.

It’s the story of Olympic gold medal winning snowboarder Beck Mckay who ends up dead on the mountain, an evil resort developer Adrian Varland and his “milf” wife Shelby (played by former pro snowboarder Damian Sanders’ first wife Brandy Ledford), and two local families torn between working for the evil resort and/or starving. (Kind of reminds me a little of living in Mammoth back in the day).

Beck appears throughout the show Six Feet Under style and is helping his brother Quinn solve the mystery of his murder. Half the fun of watching Whistler is checking out the Village, waiting for stunt man Kevin Sansalone’s scenes, and counting logos. So far RDS, 686 and Option are in the lead. \Add #1 (July 8, 2006 11:47 AM): Oh, and we’re also watching Beyond The Break. It’s the compelling story of a hot girl surfer named Lacey Farmer who flees a bad family situation in Santa Monica (drugs, slutty mom, evil boyfriends) for the North Shore of Hawaii to pursue the life of a pro surfer.
